Our neighbor's daughter thinks that brown eggs are brown because they are covered with poop. So, if the chicken is pooping when she's laying an egg, it comes out brown, if she isn't - they come out white. She won't eat brown eggs.

Then there's my daughter in law who meekly asked me one day. "What's going on with those green eggs? Are they old?"

well, since y'all have told family duh moments...here's another...

my dad always gives people nicknames. just giving you an insight into the story.


at thanksgiving dinner my dad was talking about how he had ordered pizza and salad from a nearby pizza place and about how it was just not as good as in the past. so then he says, "the Aunty-Fatso salad was really weird..."

my sister says, "Which one of our aunts is Aunty Fatso???"

i seriously fell out of my chair laughing and almost peed the carpet. my dad just stared at her amazed that she didn't even follow the conversation and that she thought he was talking about a person.

yep. gifted.

LOL We (my folks and me) went out to eat at a Italian place for Nana's B-day a while back. I ordered the three cheese tortellini and Ma asks me why I'd want that... She thought it was literally three cheese tortellini! I bout fell outta my chair when she said that!

HER SISTER came here yesterday !!!!!! bought 5 chicks,,,, then today brought them back and begged me to "watch" her chicks for 3 days while she goes out of town,,, hahahahhaa ,, and paid me $10 ,, and was told 2 days after she's suppose to be here,, if i staill have the chicks,,, their mine !!

My husband will often take a large basket of eggs to work and people take what they need from the freebies and most are glad to get them.

One young woman, when told the truth about where eggs come from, to this day thinks he was pulling her leg. She can not wrap her head around the idea that eggs come from chickens and they pop out the vent. She really believes he made it all up to tease her.

OMG that is so funny! I had an egg customer complain about my eggs spoiling on her. It took a while and giving her replacement eggs, before I figured it out. She thought the green eggs were bad.
