I have had a bad day! NOT chicken related

Boy, I had to do a book changeout at one of my stores, it was supposed to take less than five hours. Well I went in at 11 and just got home an hour ago, at 7. Still didnt finish cuz the guy I needed the signature from left 10 minutes before I was done, he KNEW I was there, woulda been nice if he said somethin on his way out. So I try to get the acting manager to do it, no go, he is a newbie and "doesnt wanna get in trouble". So I have to go back on Monday, bleh!

Got a phone bill, they double, triple and quadrupled some calls that didnt go thru that dh made, to the tune of $135.00. He didnt know you need to call them right away if it doesnt go thru. These calls were ONLY a minute, they charged $5.71 per call!!!

Then, since I was starved and didnt want to fix anything to eat, ran thru McDonalds to get some fish sandwiches, ordered extra pickles and lettuce. Well, get home, no pickles and lettuce, I am annoyed but its been that kind of day. So I open up my sandwich to put lettuce on it...and the bread was moldy on the inside!!!

So I call, and this gal and I will use the word retard cuz I am mad, she said it wasnt HER fault, she just got there, so SHE didnt do it. She couldnt hear me because of allthe store noise, apparently she was the acting manager. I told her everything and she had me repeat it 7 times, and then said she would give me a new sandwich if I wanted to come back out there tonite. I said I hardly felt like eating MORE, I had already lost my appetite. She asked "Well what else was wrong with your order?" Man, by the end of this, I was steaming..hung up and told her I am writing a letter to corporate. Sheesh! What else? What else do we NEED wrong with the order, huh?

But on the bright side, I had forgot to feed the big chickens today, but did come home to find dh had done it, thank goodness. Mom hollered at them that if she didnt have anything to eat, they didnt have the right to complain either!

Oh, you poor thing! That Mcdonald's thing isn't new-they hire gum-smacking bimbos who only care about their manicures or even worse. Attitude needs to be taken down a notch, doesn't it? We've had similar experiences. Anyway, you're home NOW! And the babies are hatching! Did you see?

thndrdncr at least you had a sandwich! I stopped at Sonic on my way home at lunch. After sitting in line for 25 minutes(I know- Friday, lunch, bad time). Dh was at home STARVING to death. he doesn't like chicken nuggets which I ordered for me and SS. I drive the 12 miles home. We open the bag and DH has no burger!!!!at all!!!! He was not a happy camper. I gave him my chicken but it was so tough he could not eat it. I did but I didn't like it either! Maybe tomorrow will be a better day! for both of us!LOL! Hope you have a good night!!

Sounds like this should have been a MONDAY for a few of us! Let me first say...I am so sorry you had a terrible day...unfortunately I can join this crowd. Today was HORRID!! Start....went to the co op, to get chicken feed...um...they dont and WONT carry it.Mouse problem is out of controll there. Jeesh! Our local feed store went bunk! So I find the new place in town...just opened a week ago...no pellets...but can order them....for Monday delivery. Sigh...ok, how much....well...$12.00 for 50 pounds! AAAAhhhhhhh!!!! I said fine, order me 200 pounds!! HA HA! So, I go to the grocery...it was packed! Oh what fun on a friday morning...get home....my son is home..he is 23..and his fience kicked him out. Lovely!! Oh, and he will have the baby for the weekend....grrrr, ok....the baby is sick!! But of course.! Then my son went to mow the back yard, and hit the satelite dish....knocked it completely out of whack...cant get someone out till Sunday, POSSIBLY MONDAY! Oh, and lets NOT forget the power was out for 2 1/2 hours...tree limb made contact..yadda yadda yadda....It was so hot in this house....and with everything happeneing..of COURSE my Asthma acted up...Tomorrow is DH and my 27th anniversary...and we have to be at a friends house at 7 am, to get a load of wood...JUST what I want to do on my anniversary! OK, im done rambling....sorry all..needed to let it out. Tomorrow WILL be a better day.

I understand your problem with McDonalds. It seems that to get your order done correctly there or at the Jack in the Box, you have to order in Spanish.

Everything is fine as long as your order is a standard number such and such. Any deviation from the norm means you had better make it clear in Spanish just what you want. Then, check the order before you leave. The drive through is always a gamble.

At least they are always nice and friendly, not like the snotty high school kids that used to do these jobs.

Supposedly, now employers are going to have to have proof of legal residence in order to hire employees in the state of Arizona. I doubt that will happen though. Who would do all of these type of jobs? And where would all of the undocumented people work?

I think the solution is to always make sure they understand what you want, and be sure to check your order before you leave the premises.

Big fuzzy chicken hugs for all of you.

When we were driving to Philly, we stopped at our usual McD's on the RI/CT border. We waited over a half an hour for our breakfast sandwiches. DH told the counter person that she should be glad that his wife was on vacation and not doing a shop because they'd all be out of work...The manager was on the phone and someone had called in sick, but the manager shouldn't have been on the phone with a flock of hungry people glaring at him. The counter person said, "Thank God".

Like mouldy bread wasn't a good reason?!!!

Obviously it's because of you wanting bird seed that the have mice...they're specially imported in each bag, sort of like the prize in the cereal...(tongue firmly placed in cheek).

well instead of a cat you can mix quik crete with sugar and the mice will eat it and drink water and then they die. I put it where the chickens cant get to it and boom soon the mice are gone...I have had good luck with this in the feed room and the cat she dont seem to like mouse meat anyway and this way she just wants to be loved ...lazy cat...Hope all of you have better days tomorrow...mine wasnt great either today but my hands are tired and I have already taken care of the problems I had today...hang in there it does get better ...

Well, I DID get offered a coupon for a free sandwich! I was hoping they might check their bread so future customers might not have to go thru the same thing.

I would have never known it if I werent so picky and pulled my sandwich apart.

SC, I meant to ask you, how in the world do you get good secret shops like McD's. Errr, should rephrase that, according to recent experience. Anyhow, how ya get FOOD place secret shops. I am signed up, but I get oil change places, motorcycle shopping and eyeglass shopping. Not fun at ALL!

Well to add to the stress of the day, I changed out the chick's box and gave them fresh food and water. They have started ROMPING. I havent had them out today. I wrote Cyn and told her they were the most puzzling chicks I had ever seen, they were just CONTENT in their brooder box. Well, that was so up until 4 days ago. We have hit 4 weeks now and apparently thats the magic number. Anyhow, 3 minutes later, the box is wet, their water is dirtied, they have dumped their food, they are picking on each other, and the brooder looks worse than it did before I changed it.
