I'm pritty new to this chicken thing. But I have discovered white bugs at my chickens eyes. Is this mites? They are on them all. What is the BEST method of getting rid of them? I've heard the ivermectin 5mg pour on is a good product, but is there a egg eating withdrawl from this? Some of my chickens don't have feathers on there heads. Is this also a sigh of it. I blamed the rooster! Any advice would be great! Thank You

the ivermectin is good the epernix pour-on is better no egg withdrawl.. but be sure to not only treat your birds but their coop also. If it's warm where you are i would recc. sevin spray mixed according to directions that way you can get into every nook and crevice. if it's still cold use sevin dust or poultry dust and try to get it inot every place especially nest boxes and roosts. you'll have to remove all bedding and replace just enough to last a week because you'll need to treat all over again then. It's a pain to deal with this but it happens to us all, you really need to address this issue because these bugs can cause sickness anemia and death if not treated. Good luck
