Hi! This egg is alive. I made sure it wasnt just sloshing around in there. The heart is definitely beating. What is going on here? This little bud is gonna die, isnt it? To me it looks like a brewing infection.

Wow! Idk. I actually did see that once in my friend's quail egg. They were about to toss it. I said just leave it. It lived! I don't know. It's really odd. I'm not sure what causes them to look that way. Just keep watching it. Keep us posted!

So it's on day 16. It's an automatic turner so I'm not sure exactly so my answer is...the correct amount Haha. And the breed is some sort of mix. Might be pheonix might be one of the weird small bantam hens I have. Could be sebright. I have no clue what's gonna come out.

Are the eggs yours/local, or shipped? I just hatched some shipped eggs and they were all kinds of amorphous. Maybe this one saw some early trauma? If it's moving, it's probably okay for the moment. Unclear whether it will make it to hatch, but it doesn't hurt to wait and give it a chance, as long as it keeps moving.

I have had similar. I would leave it in. I usually mark my eggs that I think are quitters or not developing correctly. I have been surprised and they hatched out fine.
