I agree with @DobieLover 15 sq foot per chicken in the run and 4sq foot of floor space per chicken in the coop. A walk in coop and run are worth every penny. If you cover your run top to bottom with 19ga 1/2" hardware cloth you'll never have to lock your chickens up. You can give them 24/7 access to their run.
Imagine living like this:
Scale is for 6 standard chickens in a 6 x 3 coop and a 6x 10 run.

We don't have a run but the way I usually have seen it worded is 10-15 square feet per bird in the run. We have silkies (smaller chickens), so if we had to build a run, we'd go with the smaller side of that but allow for chicken math too.

As for in the coop, 4 square feet is recommended per bird, so with silkies, we sure can cram more in there then that, but we don't because they will get locked in there sometimes a week or two at a time in the brutal winters we have up here.
