I got this chicken out of either a Barred Rock or Black Sex Link bin, but it doesn't look like any of my other chickens. At all. It also has an odd foot. The skin is black, but none of the others are. I would love any info from a learned BYC member. Thanks!

Oh, no, I am even more clueless! What is a silky cross bred? How can I tell if it is a boy or girl? And thanks so much!!

It's a cross between a silky (silky feathered, black skin, 5 toed breed) and a normal feathered bird of any breed. First generation birds are normal feathered but with black skin and five toes on each foot.

I guess it could be Barred Rock cross since it was with them. It is three weeks old. Any way I can tell if it is a rooster or pullet? Geesh! Appreciate your time!
