I have no clue what this is, please help!!

Thank you all for responding! I thought I'd be waiting for days for a response like on other forums. I was going nuts trying to figure out what she is, there's a million chicken breeds and to my untrained eye, most of them look alike!

Yes, her wing is clipped, she's obviously escaped from someone because she is SO friendly! She took to me as mommie lightning fast. She throws a fit if I leave her too long, and I've only had her a few hours! The guy that brought her in said that there was at least one cat in the area where he picked her up from that was harassing her, so that's probably how her tail ended up looking so ratty.

Thanks again! I'm happy to be a part of my new chicken family!!

Easter Eggers are often called Arucana or Americana at feed stores and hatcheries... confuses everyone.
Arucana won't have the green legs.

It looks like an Easter Egger to me too...and a girl! She has small legs, like a pullet. She's so cute and lucky to be in your care! Gosh, people don't dump chickens like they do unwanted dogs, do they??

Oh, people definitely dump chickens like that! I don't think this one was dumped, I think she either got chased out of her yard by the cat, or she just explored too far. But like I said in my first post, I work at a wildlife center and that's how we got our flock of chickens there, people would sneak up after hours and dump them.

It's really upsetting that people do that, a lot of times it's because parents bought their kids cute little Easter chicks then the novelty wore off as soon as the chicks are not cute and fluffy anymore and they just get rid of them. The same thing happens with ducks. I used to work at a tropical fish and reptile store and people would come in all the time around Easter asking for chicks, we refused to sell them because of exactly that.
