I have no idea what I am doing

No joke. This morning she was out of her house sitting on a towel in the kitchen and pulling out her down feathers and I swear she was making a nest. I pulled the towel a few inches closer to me and she stretched her neck, grabbed the corner and pulled it right back. If any feathers blow off the towel she picks them up and puts them back on.

Too cute! :love

No she is only 7 weeks old is it possible ?

IKR? wiser minds than mine will prevail. @Ravynscroft ? @Wyorp Rock ? @DwayneNLiz ?

Don't mean to leave the other experts out!

Might be true confirmation of girl! Also, I am thinking of it like a teenage girl practicing with makeup and high heels!

Must. Have. Nest.
Dont. Touch. Anything.
Lucky's Nest. Stay Out.
Genius. At. Work.

Just keep the car keys hidden.

Sounds like she is molting too, that will make her crabby especially about being touched... or even thinking you might be touching, lol...

Hang in there, us females are really b****y when we're irritated, lol... :hugs

She hates me lol

No, she's just a typical teenage female... ;)

Good analogy... a bit different, but yes, hormones and molting cause similar issues... sometimes the only way we understand is to compare to human children...

Hang in there guys. . every day is a new day!
My two boys have takin a notion to attacking my bare toes every time I let them out. Then they fight over who gets to bite my toes and as Jen said in another thread about ducklings under her feet. . I keep thinking ONE OF US IS GONNA DIE

The first time they did it I thought it was cause I was wearing different shoes. But it's become a daily thing.
So boys are just as bad as girls trust me!

can I ask my byc friends to post pictures of their enclosures? I have the house already I just need to do an enclosure for the house with a pond etc. I've priced out the lumber etc and it's going to cost a fortune so I'm in need of some ideas and pics if you can help.

Mine is probably a little more crude than you will do, but we used netting over the top and cut a tree, and draped it over.

edited for a better pic of the netting

She hates me lol

My momma Swedish still thinks I'm trying to take her babies. Squawks at me if i get within 10 feet. Calls the babies to her every time i come outside, like I'm going to grab them. Never mind that i fill their waters and feeders every day! :(
But i still *try* not to take it personally.
