I have no idea what I am doing

Diapers are good for when Lucky is out roaming in the house or while traveling, but you have to check and empty them on a regular basis. I would keep the use to only those times, otherwise you will have more work to do. Also, get several different sizes in one order, Lucky will grow faster than you think and unless you pay extra for overnight shipping, or can make your own, you will find yourself with a diaper that fit yesterday and is too small today.

X2, I would like to point out these patented 'bird diapers' which are designed not to hold the poop up against the feathers but away and utilize a 'panti-liner' to absorb that can be changed out when dirty. The inventer's did not want to call them diapers and chose the name 'flight suit'(TM) to describe the product which is intended to allow pet birds of all types out of their cages to interact with the owners with fear of mess. I never thought I would consider a diaper for a bird until I watched the documentary on their home page - very interesting to watch!

Or Steven could just message our fellow member, @kukupecpec who makes amazing custom duck diapers, even adjustable ones to grow with the duckling... :D

It did hatch! His name is Lucky! xxx he is 5 days old!
Sure did

Evening all. We tried for a little splashing fun but as with everything Lucky does it was way more than I could handle. With only about half an inch of water I held his little feet in it to get him used to it and he wanted out of my hands I put him in and he seemed ok and was splashing a little with his beak so I let him go and he dove head first under the water and zoomed from one side of the Pyrex dish to the other. I grabbed him and let him relax for a min and tried it again and he did the same thing. A bit too much for my taste. Not sure if he wanted to do that or just freaked. My guess is he meant to lol. I can't believe the energy

Lucky knows he is a duck, lol... just remember, Steven, they aren't called 'waterfowl' without good reason... ;)

Some ducklings just paddle around floating... some torpedo dive... Lucky is the latter... :D

Get used to it, Papa Duck. This little dude is NEVER going to make things easy on you or your coronary health! :lau

Yes, what a great name - kukupecpec:lol:! Lucky and Steven will want to avoid embarrassing 'accidents' in public.

Tell us Steven, Are you having a wicked good time with him???
I am loving every second with Lucky but I'm looking forward to being more relaxed with him so that I can really enjoy him. Although I probably shouldn't worry so much as he is like a mini bulldozer
