I have no idea what I am doing

Reminds me to mention to Steven to be sure and check for "pasty butt": it is when poo gets stuck to rear end and prevents further passage. Check him maybe (if it was me) two-three times a day and rinse rinse rinse with warm water if he does get it to remove the poo. Under the faucet is good, and gently remove. We don't want him to get stopped up. Should be ok to stop checking after ten days or so? Wiser minds than mine may prevail here...and you can do a bit of a search if you like. I only had one of my six get that, and she was ok after I took care of it. Be sure not to confuse with umbilical cord, which is lower down and may look like a little string or scab (it should be dry now and will fall off naturally shortly...don't attempt to remove).

what are you feeding him?
he should be on an all-flock raiser crumble with about 20-22% protein
only other thing that should be added would be niacin
I am feeding him small crumble. Unfortunately it's sold in bulk so it's not packaged and I do not know the protein but I can call the pet store to find out. Do input the niacin in the water?

I read this whole thread today...wonderful job! The baby is adorable. :love

Brewer's yeast on the food for niacin is good, too. :)
