I have no idea what I am doing

View attachment 1049495 Here is a pic I just took now. Our morning ritual he eats, runs around and poops and then loves to snuggle. Oh today is four weeks for lucky. In the last two days I occaisionally hear something that actually resembles a quack. Is that possible or my imagination?

Oh so precious! :love Our baby is growing up. You could certainly be hearing quack sounds that would indicate female.

Happy 4 weeks, Lucky & dads!!

View attachment 1049590 Here is a picture of the lake at Michaels place. I can't wait to let him in it but right now it's too cold for me to have to go in there to get him out lmao.

Steven, I'm a worrier you like you. While the lake is beautiful, I wouldn't let him in. He could easily out maneuver you, if he desired, so you wouldn't be able to catch him.

We fell in love day one when we candled the egg and saw movement. At that point we still were not sure if we would keep it if it ever hatched but the we heard that first peep coming from inside the egg 10 days later. It was then I knew we were screwed lol. There was no giving our baby away after hearing that
I almost feel like that duck should be a mascot, or co-mascot of the board. This thread has almost 39 THOUSAND views. I think everyone knows, and loves your little Lucky. I was pulling for him so hard when reading. It is crazy that I started feeling anxious about the outcome right before it hatched. You said it wasn't being vocal as much anymore, and I was like NOOOOO! CPR DO CPR! (joke)
I look forward to many updates. You guys taught me to be patient with my eggs. Im normally quick to pull them out and I learned a lot from this thread. Thanks Lucky!

Thank you. Someone suggested I write a small book or article about Lucky and I really would like to do that. We just seem to be so consumed with him that we never have any free time lol. I even feel guilty that we aren't posting pictures of him all day long on here for his byc family to see. Soon we will need to find some balance and life will return to some form of normal and we can post many more pictures and start writing our story

X2, don't say 'spoiled' say he has an 'enriched lifestyle' ;)
You have to see him in the car. Every Friday night after work it's about a 3 hour ride up to the lake. He goes nuts the first couple of minutes then when the car starts moving he is like a baby and out like a light for the entire ride. It's so darn cute
