I have no idea what I am doing

Thank you. Someone suggested I write a small book or article about Lucky and I really would like to do that. We just seem to be so consumed with him that we never have any free time lol. I even feel guilty that we aren't posting pictures of him all day long on here for his byc family to see. Soon we will need to find some balance and life will return to some form of normal and we can post many more pictures and start writing our story[/QUOTE
I'm not sure there is "normal" after owning ducks! Lol. There is the new normal maybe. Lol. My husband says he is going to have to start quack n to get any attention around here! Lol

You have to see him in the car. Every Friday night after work it's about a 3 hour ride up to the lake. He goes nuts the first couple of minutes then when the car starts moving he is like a baby and out like a light for the entire ride. It's so darn cute
He's fitting right in with your lifestyle - lakes everywhere!
PS Lucky looks beautiful with his/her new feathers!

He will never know how many people were involved with his coming into this world. Some people gave incredible advice, and were crucial in keeping all of us calm while they walked you step by step through all of this, while being perfectly calm. Like a professional, and im incredibly impressed.
Most of us just watched in anticipation, and with shaky nerves just hoping for a positive outcome. Hoping for the best, and fearing the worst.
That duck doesn't know it, but it has one of the largest extended family's in existence. He touched hundreds upon hundreds of people here.

If you write it, then I want a copy of "Luckies Memoirs".

View attachment 1049590 Here is a picture of the lake at Michaels place. I can't wait to let him in it but right now it's too cold for me to have to go in there to get him out lmao.
Not to make you worry more, but I personally wouldn't let him in a lake while he's a baby. I've seen too many ducklings eaten by catfish...

For sure. If you notice when I post questions on here I usually address them to "BYC Family" because we really do think of you all as Lucky's extended family. I am sure things would have had a very sad outcome had I not found this wonderful place. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi. Sorry to bud in, I wouldn't exactly say i'm new to this thread since i've been reading from page 1. So heres my story. I have a very broody white barred rock who is sitting on eight duck eggs. We are on week two and my mother decided to candle them. She took my LED flashlight and candled i think egg #8 and said that something was wrong with it. and so me being the one that takes care of the animals the most and having more knowledge about these guys i took a look and with closely looking at it had realized two duck were forming in the egg! Now, i don't know about twin ducks or even chickens hatching or how low the hatch rate will become of this? I just don't know and i'm very worried now. should i let it go and see what happens?

After everything that has happened, that would be aweful!
"Aww.... Look at Lucky! He is having such a great time! Wait, what is that? OH MY GOD! NO!"
