I work with a girl that would gladly take him off your hands if you were closer... she eats them... If she sees one while driving she stops, throws it in the back floorboard (sometimes with her kids) and takes it home....View attachment 1051294 here is a pic of one for anyone who has never seen one of these monsters. Real kick r is your not supposed to trap or kill them! Sorry but this thing has to leave my property some how.
Well it's not a lake. . it's our duck pond that we are making lol. We have to pump the water out and put some sealer in it so I guess when we do that it will leave on its own. The ditch behind our property runs all the way to the city lagoon so it can go back to there I'm sure that's where it came from. Lol. I like turtles and frogs so I won't harm it rest assured. You could call wildlife rehabilitators to try and move it? And you can't trap or kill them due to the fact they are vulnerable, and even endangered in several states due to, well... Habitat loss, getting caught in roads and wild ones being captured for the exotic pet trade.
It feels bad to me that it has to leave the lake it called home, but it does pose a threat to your pets/livestock.
You may want to put a short fence around the pond when you get rid of the turtle... keep the buggers out so they don't hike back...Well it's not a lake. . it's our duck pond that we are making lol. Yep. That's the plan ! Hubby has is all planned out. Going to cost though so for now ducks stay in the main yard close to house and get locked up when I can't be outside. You may want to put a short fence around the pond when you get rid of the turtle... keep the buggers out so they don't hike back...
You can take a pic without waking them!View attachment 1052198 I can't take it. both of them sound asleep on the floor and it's only 8:30. I was going to vacuum but perfect excuse to do it tomorrow lol.
