Hey ravyn. . wonder if a call duck would make a good pal for lucky? Would think Being a smaller size they wouldn't have to worry about her getting hurt as easily ?

Call and mallard would do just fine together...

Oh, and they're called grey in Calls since the drakes main body color is grey, and mallard is a breed...

Lucky is a mallard... grey Call ducks are just identically colored... but with Lucky's long bill, head shape, longer neck and streamlined body, she is mallard... Calls are half the size, rounder bodied, round heads, short billed and short necked...

I did notice the difference in the head and bill. Reminded me of lucky when she was just a few days old. So cute I miss that little puff ball. Lucky is growing so fast. We went for a walk the other day and she stopped to pick at the grass and when I called her she started to run towards us and flapped her wings while she was running and I swear she almost took off. My heart skipped a beat

Just love that last pic. Her long graceful neck and sleek curves. She poses with such confidence. I understand the cuteness factor of costumes - but OTOH how do you adorn perfection?
