I have no idea what I am doing

Button says suck it up, Dad! :gig

She is out in 19° and yesterday was windy as heck! She is doing fine, lots of straw to sit on and the ducks are thriving... just irritated that all our pools are frozen solid... they still sat in them all day wishing for swim water...

:hugs
Lucky and Flynn will be fine... :)
Lol we are frozen solid here too and not just the pool. We have poopsicles everywhere lol. Our pond heater is coming tomorrow but I probably won't be able to get it in the pond for at least a week if things warm up a little. They love to sit in their heated water bowl but when they get out they get little ice balls on their feathers

As long as there isn't tons of ice balls, enough to interfere with their waterproofing or tripping them, it's no biggie...

So what kind of pond heater did you decide on? We are back to considering one.
I got one that we can float or submerge and its 750 watts. According to the website it says that it should prevent it from any ice but I'm not that hopeful. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes and if not it goes back lol.

View attachment 1220802 I really wanted this one. . . but it has a lot of negative reviews with people saying it didn't work :hmm
I saw that too. I'm hoping that it won't freeze during the day because I'm affraid to leave it plugged in while they are in the water God forbid something goes wrong. I'm sure there will be days where it just won't be enough R to keep it from freezing but if I can keep it clear of ice even most of the time I will be happy
