They can go many days without food, but only 3 days without water. Is she drinking?I tried the canned salmon tonight and she wouldn't eat that either. The only thing she ate today was kale in the morning. Any ideas on how long she can go without eating real food before she will die?
Not like she used to where she would stick her head in the bowl and then tilt her head back. Now she just pushed her food out into the tray then floods it with water and smacks her bill around in it for an hour before I put them to bed. I'm sure she must be getting some water down but not sureThey can go many days without food, but only 3 days without water. Is she drinking?
Did the vet say not to give feeder fish?Yes sulfatrim dose is .75 ml twice a day and first dose was Friday around 4 pm. i didn't give her any feeder fish today hoping she would be hungry and eat. Should I give her some tomorrow? I'd hate for her not to eat anything again tomorrow
They said give her what she will eat but then people were saying on here that the pet store might treat the fish with chemicals and they could carry bacteria. We just looked up the medicine and one if the side effects is loss of appetite. Why the hell would s dr prescribe that to an animal that was brought in for not eating???Did the vet say not to give feeder fish?
Chemicals? Bacteria? Can you point me to the post that said that so I can try to figure out what they meant? They said give her what she will eat but then people were saying on here that the pet store might treat the fish with chemicals and they could carry bacteria.
