I have no idea what I am doing

Where do you get your diapers from?

I bought mine from The Goose Mother, 520-631-3320, or email [email protected]

They tolerate them quite well even though they were already full grown when I got them. My ducks live mostly outside but they come in for visits almost every day for at least a couple of hours. During really cold days, the diapers have been awesome!

I just hope she stops losing feathers and maybe it was a reaction to not eating well for two weeks. If she does molt will she be ok in this cold weather?
I would imagine so, chickens seem to do ok when practically naked (and they molt in winter) and naked neck chickens have massive bald spots permanently and they like playing in snow... As long as she has somewhere out of the drafts that she can go and warm up (maybe a pile of hay in a corner she can nestle down into?) she should be fine.

I asked the same question not too long ago, Quackers has been molting since late December and hasn’t laid an egg since Christmas morning. Her wing feathers are growing and she’s still losing fluff like crazy. I think it’s early but she seems very healthy. I’ve been feeding her extra protein like dried mealworms and raw cracked peanuts, and peas. I wait until she’s had a good portion of her regular duck food though because she would rather have treats! She was a bit bald around the shoulders, very slight. I bring her in when it’s single digits and I have clean straw everywhere in the yard. It’s a mess out there but they like it.
