Omg our little girl is laying her first egg. Just caught her spinning around in circles and pushing her little feet with her butt in the air. Now she is pulling the hay out of the coop and making a nest like crazy. How long will it take for the egg to come out???? We may need an ambulance...... For me

You won't believe I was just wondering this morning if we could be looking for eggs yet!!!

I'm not sure if she had the egg already and covered it with hay or what. She left the coop and she is in the pool now. How long can this take if she hasn't already layed the egg????

Did you look to see if there's an egg? I have seen my chickens 'practice' egg laying for several days before the actual event so don't freak out if it's not immediate... Lucky's egg will be greatly anticipated by a lot of people!

I'm not home. I was watching this on the security camera but I think I may have my sister run over and check for me. I can't stand the anticipation. I watched a video of a duck laying an egg and that is exactly what she was doing. Right now they are both in the pool with their heads tucked napping

It was so sweet to see that duck lay her egg and when it was done she looked down at the egg and then looked up at her momma that was filming her as if to say " look what I just did". So cute

From what I have heard, it's not terribly unusual for ducks to lay in the water every now and then when they are getting started.... So you may find some surprises when you clean their pool....
