I have northern fowl mites and a broody on eggs!

I went to check on my broody hen and her eggs. When I was looking at her I noticed her comb and wattle were very pale. Upon inspection I found she is infested with Northern fowl mites. She also has a ball of dry poo that is between the size of a golf ball so she'll need soaked. I'll also need to at least do a neem oil treatment on the coop for now. There were at least 20 mites on every egg. Does anyone have any experience in working so much with a chicken without breaking the brood? What did you do that worked? Also, does anyone have experience with different types of mite killers to know if elector psp is worth the price? I am running on a super tight buget but if rather pay a bit more now if I'll end up paying less in the long run with less re-treating. Thank you very much for reading and or responding.

It is definitely worth it. We mixed it up as a dip as it was easier to saturate the hen. We also used a blow dryer to get her dry faster.
You have to work fast to keep eggs viable, I would make up a new nest box, spray the Elector psp on it, let it dry, then brush off eggs and transfer to clean box. Spray coop area really well too.
If you can put a heating pad on the eggs whole you dip the hen it may give you more time.
After your done with her, treat your other birds.
We sprayed a growth inhibitor on the ground along with the Elector in the shady areas of the yard to kill of any creepy crawlies.
I got rid of sticktight fleas with one treatment.

She actually broke her brood at the first treatment. Her eggs are literally still hatching right now. I put them in my incubator.

Okay it’s been two years but my friend has this exact problem. Two hens with 20+ eggs between them. Anyway, all covered in mites at least the hens are and we assume eggs are too. We’re going to clean the house and hens thoroughly and separate them. Then give them fake eggs to see if they stay broody and then switch it out with chicks once they hatch. (Fertile eggs going in the incubator tomorrow) POINT IS did you have any mites on the new chicks as they hatched/ how did you get the mites off the eggs before incubating. If you can help me at all I am DESPERATELY in need of it. Thank you!!!!

If you read through this post you'd see that this is an excellent treatment. You can buy small amounts off of ebay and it's a one and done treatment. All bedding has to be removed from the coop (burned or bagged and thrown away) then thoroughly spray and place new bedding, all the birds have to be thoroughly sprayed as well, focusing on the neck, vent, and under the wings.
