I have nothing to rant/vent about.

Sorry times are tough but I admire your outlook. I hope things take a turn for the better very soon.
We're struggling right now too, living from paycheck to paycheck. But we have paychecks. My van needs transmission work, the extent of which we don't know yet. But we have my DH's car and he has his 20 year old truck we we're able to get around. There will be fewer presents under the tree this year but that has allowed us to focus on the more spirtual side of the Christmas this year. We're making the best of it and we have each other to lean on. We'll survive.

I was in a similar spot when I was 38 and now have a beautiful 5 year old son refusing to go to sleep because he is too happy, healthy and wanting to practice his reading skills! We are all blessed that we were able to bring him here to be a part of our family. He is a blessing!

I have two wonderful, bright, healthy children
I have a husband I love, and who loves me
I have a home
I have friends I can rely on
I have a safe neighborhood
I have pets
I have relatives that are nice people
I have eggs coming
I have BYC
I have good schools
I have beads to play with
I'm healthy
my husband is healthy
I have time to volunteer
I have kids who make me laugh
I like people
I have books
I have flowers and fountains
I have more blessings than I can count, but sometimes making a list can make you realize that life is good and that you are blessed.

I have ducks. Watch them sometime.

They take mud and make mud pies.
They take rain and make a bath.
They take sunshine and nap all day.
When they have something to say, they quack about it.
When they want treats, they come find me.
When they want a cuddle they climb in my lap.

What more do you need? Be a Duck.

I am blessed my 14 yr old daughter put my email address down when she registered for a football forum. So when a guy private messaged her on wanting to meet her at a ballgame I saw the message turned it over to the police. After detectives pretending to be her they were able to arrest this 41 yr old man and father of 5 for a Class B Felony. This saved my daughter and no telling how many more girls out there. Praise God!!

Parents be alert it was a harmless forum and she doesn't have a myspace account, facebook, IM account or anything. They just discussed high school football like we discuss chickens....well we are nicer.

FutureChickenMan,
Thank you for this post today! I'm glad to have been able to contribute some input. My life hasn't been easy, but whose life has? I may be an amputee, but I do wear a prosthesis and can walk, after a fashion. I spent five years in a wheelchair, now I farm. I had a stroke a year ago,now I volunteer time at the same hospital helping others. I maybe be a handicapped person, but I'm not looking for a hand-out;just a hand-up! Don't count me as dead yet,I'm no quitter! Sure I can use a helping hand...can I help you?
All y'all take care!
