I have geese that have started to lay eggs but it's still 40° outside. Do I need to bring the eggs inside or leave them outside with the geese

I would bring the eggs inside, I don't see any reason not to bring them in

I would bring the eggs inside because if you leave them outside and the temperatures drop below freezing, the eggs will freeze.

If you are hatching them out in a incubator - than yes.
