Why is it my posts always get misread?

I never said it would save me money. Matter of fact, I said "I'd have to invest a few more hundred" meaning.... If I'm spending that much on chickens, I'm going to spare them the postal service and I'm going to check the place out so I'm not getting sickly chickens or horrible quality specimens.

Oh and if you go to the website for the importer... seems 115 of their imports were euthanized for H6N7 (I might have the N7 off... but it was H6). Apparently they posted all their communications with the USDA because they feel like Paul Bradshaw is in bed with the USDA and sells illegally imported stock. ---- I know, I know... everyone has a conspiracy theory... but I'm just telling you what I spent over a hour reading last night from their website. They are dead set sure that the USDA had contacted Paul Bradshaw about their imports and then mysteriously they were put down.

Personally, I don't know what to think and I'm keeping my opinions out of it... just wanted to tell you all what they have on their site and you can read it for yourself. I found the link through closed auction search on featherauction for orpingtons. Apparently there is a farmer in GA who spent his life saving importing unique colors of Orps and Sussex and now feels "The Man" is keeping him down and giving (his words) "Paul Bradshaw the monopoly".

Sorry I don't have the link. Go to featherauction.com/search "Orpington"/closed auctions. In the listing there is a link to their site "chester" or "cheshire" chicks. I dont' remember.

Lol, sorry....happens to me all the time....dh has talked about importing but no vacation to go with.... you could probably avoid the trip(unless looking for vacation excuse) by contacting many members of the breed club. You also have to remember you are hiring the vet for the inspection so if you get a reputable person I'm sure they would tell you the conditions they live in.
