I have thieves

Well I witnessed my first chicken "Seizure" the other day. My girls have been exploring the yard farther and farther each day.

Well they found my son's old sandbox, boy were they having a good time flopping around in the sand.

I'm wondering if I should move some of the sand to their run. There is a section of their run that is concrete, nothing I can do about it. I was thinking of digging the sand out the play box and covering the concrete with it. What do you all think?

If they were any bigger we would all be in trouble. I'm glad they don't get to 40 lbs, they'd be eating us instead of stealing snacks. Greedy little brats!!!! By the way they really like Cheese Nips.

When people would come over to the house to get farm fresh eggs or whatever and they had kids I would let the kids take a little sandwich baggie out into "The Yard" (a huge chicken pen with all my mutts, extra hens and pullets, a few extra pure-bred roosters for breeding, the four goats, and a flock of Bourbon Red turkeys) full of Tostitos, Triscuits, Wheat Thins, or Cheese Nips. As soon as kids got out of a car everyone was mashed up against the fence like

. Silly birds...and goats.

Anyway, this one little girl would give the goat or hen a bite and then eat the rest of the chip.

It was very cute, but needless to say mom and I took her bag while she wasn't looking and dumped it on the ground. We blamed it on the chickens...

who needs to watch the WWF wrestling matches anyways? Just throw a few treats to your chickens and watch them wrestle each other and race around trying to keep the treats for themselves.

I think it somehow balances the books for all those times they do something that gives us near heartfailure.
