I have to talk POLISH!

if she has a huge crest likely she had memorized where her food and water was in the pen at her previous home. In a new environment she couldn't find it. pull the crest back with a ponytail holder or trim it with scissors so she can see.

Sad news, our little cuckoo pullet died yesterday. We had force fed her and done everything posible and she started to come around and eat, but then she stwrted to backslide. She developed diarrhea and just couldn't make it. We are sad, but as we talked about it, if she has problems, she shouldn't be a breeder even if she had recovered.

Sorry to hear she didn't make it :(. On the plus side though I am glad to hear that you had already decided that if she did pull through that she shouldn't be bred from. Good decision making.

I have an urgent show question! I have to overnight the entry form for the northeastern poultry congress and I need to know, is my cockerel worthy to bring to the show? He is the silver laced next to the snowman a few pictures back. I really want to bring him but if I will be embarrassed I won't bother. He has grown a bit since then, he's going through a growth spirt  he is almost 7 months now.

I say go for it, chances are he will be the only one of that kind at the show and you can always talk to the judges after they judge him and get some pointers on what you need to improve on in your flock. no bird is perfect.

How does he look? We are getting dumped on so I took the opportunity to take some snow chicken pics
