I have to talk POLISH!

having a hard time deciding witch roo to keep (they are 3 mos old)

not really worried a bout sq so i don't know if makes a difference witch one i keep. I have 1 silver laced hen for sure maybe 2; 2 gold laced girls; 1 buff laced girl; and 2 red girls

I am partial to beards, so my choice would be number one. I noticed that Polish change dramatically as the grow older.
What color legs does he have ? I also like dark to slate legs.

I would not keep the red one- legs and crest just not cutting it for a roo.

I like the blue and the buff best.
BUT you have mostly laced and/or red/tan based hens so would go with either the buff or the gold (who's crest may still come in more- but my ones with better crests have them from first feathers).

The buff may end up with a better tail set- blue's seems slightly better than the gold- but young roos can be excitable....

actually I like the blue's tail set...... but he will not go well colorwise with your hens.

Watch the buff's tail as it comes in- if he has a tail set closer to the blue's than the gold's I'd pick him (could just be a rowdy boy right now and holding it up higher than supose to- my boys go through that under 6 mo where they are a bit too cocky)

Other things to consider- weights, do you have more hens that are bearded or non bearded, and do you have room to grow out 2 of them?

I removed the wing comment because I went back and relooked at him and realized what looked like the wing sticking out at first- was how the tail and wing looked blended in the pic. I would watch is tail set over all- if you only keep one roo- you will want it as close to correct as possible. With several roos you can do breeding groups for differant traits and keep something with flaws if it has strong traits you need

not sure what to look for on the wing set but here is another view of the gold one

His tail is puny but who know it might grow ! The blue and buff are nicer in general but I must have a beard. Just personal choice. My Gold laced looked awful as a chick, even his crest was tiny but now is OK for me especially since he has not shown any aggressive tendencies toward the birds in his pen or toward me

2 red hens non bearded
2 gold laced hens non bearded
1 buff laced bearded
1 silver laced bearded

the red is the heavest i have been trying to decide if i could keep two i would like too but i already have a full grown roo that my hubby likes so im not sure if 3 roos would be too many for my hens i also have two silkie hens and a OEGB. the poor little buff tail has been peck so that is why it dosen't have much of one

this is my full grown roo he is 1/2 polish
