I have to talk POLISH!

Hi ! Yesterday, I picked up 7 Polish to add to my two that I have (LF- Large) 1 White Crested black roo, 2 white crested black hens, 2 buff laced hens, and 2 white hens. :weee Pam Pittman She already told me that they are not all show quality- but the rooster makes nice babies. One of his daughters won Supreme overall grand champion (JR's) at a show yesterday. One of the hens won her daughter ribbons as well. I'm happy with them :)
I love the way they look.. We can't wait to see if all of ours are hens.. We only kept 3 out of 10...

We got a bunch of chicks this week and our first set of polish, they are the friendliest chicks I've ever had or seen! They jump into your hand when you reach in the brooder! It's crazy and the other non polish chicks don't do it. So now my daughter is really in love with them!

Quote: Hardinpoultry and 4Hgirl, I had one doing that to me and what I found is that the food was not going thru. It was further than the crop. I tried vitamins , corrid and vits. She died.

Chicks die, I've heard so many stories of the ones 3-4 weeks. That must be when their compatibility with life runs out. Do the best you can, cover all the bases you can think of and hope for the best . It's sad.

Chicks do die and if it was one or two then things go wrong... But to lose 9 of 10 chicks now and to have done nothing different to 100 other chicks we are brooding at the same time? That points to something with those chicks.

I have three polish bantam chicklets... they are 7 weeks old tomm. and these pics were taken yesterday. I tend to think I have three pullets... but what say ye all... I am hoping they are pullets. they have absolutely no red at all on comb and no waddles visible at this age.

Whaddya think based on these not so great pictures the last two are of the same kid
