from what I've always been told, this is passed on from generation to generation, which is why some strains of the same breed lay heavy and others don't.

Thanks! I hope this is the case with ours. I would love to have at least most of her offspring lay as well as she does. We have 5 eggs due to hatch on the 24th, and I'm hoping for all girls
