At what age can you start to see the genders? I have 2 four week olds I suspect are Roos but could be wrong also mine are no where near as feathered as the 5 week olds in the above picture. I'll be so sad if mine are Roos I've been looking forever for polish :/

Its really hard to tell. What temp are you keeping your brooder? You should be dropping 5 degrees every week.

so I realized one of my polish chicks has orange feet and another already has greenish slate like @wickedhens is this the distinguished sighs of a hen and roo?

my next question is will the legs soon turn slate?

I keep the brooder at 80, I know I should drop the degrees, these are my 1st polish not my 1st chicks LOL

I have a tendency to keep them under the light to long which slows the feather growth down.

All my other chicks are the same age and they are feathering fine, the feathers on the polish are good too I just noticed the major crest difference thought it was weird, do polish feather differently than other breeds though?

ALSO YOU GUYS ASKED ABOUT CREST, YES EACH POLISH WILL ALWAYS HAVE A DIFFERENT STYLE OF CREST, NOT ALL WILL ALWAYS HAVE A BIG FULL CREST, SOME WILL HAVE SMALLER CREST FOR THE PULLETS, AND ROOSTERS THERE CREST ARE ALWAYS DIFFERENT CAUSE SOME WILL GROW SLICKED BACK, SOME WILL PART AND GROW TO THE SIDES LIKE PONY TAILS AND SOME WILL BE ALL CRAZY LIKE MY BOYS, WERE IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ALWAYS GOT SOME BANGS IN THERE EYES, THIS IS WHY I LOVE THE POLISH BREED AS NON ARE ALWAYS THE SAME, EVERY ONE WILL FEATHER DIFFERENTLY THEN THE ONE BEFOR
