miohippus Nice pictures of the Silver Laced hen and I suppose her wattles are about the usual hen size for bearded. Maybe non-bearded appear larger since they are more esay to visualize. As per previous pictures of hen that were thought to be males, the wattles look much smaller than those on the cockerels. I have never has a beardless Polish either. Since Polish are one of the breeds that are difficult to determine sex unless they have perfect SOP and they I think they change a lot as they grow, it is hard to say for sure about those things.

I'm so glad I found this thread, wonder if anyone could help, I was at an auction yest and my mum fell in love with a little polish pullet so I got her and told her that was her xmas pressie sorted lol. The polish aren't a breed I'm familiar with so as you do I got home and started doing some research and now I'm not sure she's actually 100% a polish I read so many "breed standard" things last night it's ridiculous I will try and post a pic soon can't seem to do it off the iPad properly the 2 main things for me are her colour and the fact she has feathers on her feet and I think I read somewhere polish don't ?? :/

This is her yest, she's not as bright as big bird in real life lol she's a bit duller than that still a lovely light golden colour though

It could be a Polish/Buff Silkie mix... Polish do not have feathered feet.

I would say polish/silkie, those are quite common and so cute

I have both silkies and polish. That looks more like "big bird" though hahaha!
