I wondered if that might be the case. I guess they will change when pull Einstein and the girks to a breeding pen in the spring. So far non of the hens have laid either.

they seem to take a little longer to start laying than other breeds

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep the famous Polish top knot out of their eyes??? I have a hen who's top knot drops over on one eye, makes the skin fold over, and is causing her to have a fungus... I tried a small pony tail but it worked its way off. Thanks in advance!

We trim one of our girls crest. We trim the feathers right above her eye.

How high are your Polish roosts? This is my first time with Polish and some of them are clearly sight deprived, especially the frizzles. They are 12 weeks old and so far they roost in a pile on the coop floor like Silkies, but I assume they will want to go higher soon.

lol- I bought some "Crele" chicks, and ended up with these guys....





And some Buff laced that are almost white!
And I saw the parents of both! They were normal...Live and learn..

Do not beat yourself up. You would not believe how many people I have seen or have had bring chicks/chickens to me who where told they where something completely something different. It is sad that people mislead others to just make money off of them. Makes my furious! Especially when it comes to creles and silkies.

Hey you live and learn..I would say that the majority of us here have had this exoerience ourselves....but your last pic does look much closer. Put it with a crele and you will get some nice offspring. You can even have a good jump on working on a crele project.

I am selling off a lot of my crele in the next couple months since I am starting on the next generation if anyone is interested.
