I have to talk POLISH!

Have a couple questions for my fellow Polish owners. My two Polish hens were a mothers day gift from my hubby. I am going to post a couple photos and if y'all wouldn't mind maybe taking a guess at how old they are. I got my first egg yesterday from one of them but don't know which one.






That's one of the girls. Please let me know if better photos are needed.

Getting my 1st 2 polish chicks tomorrow. ..and a dz hatching eggs!!! So excited! !! Love the look of these. These are the parents...not sure what kind they are??

I have Golden Polish and White Crested Polish. I've heard they don't make good broody hens. Any thoughts?

I've yet to have one go broody. I have a Marans that does that job.

Ever wonder what you get if you cross a barred rock with a SL polish? Well now you know! There are four and there are two solid black with dark legs/eyes/combs/beaks and slight crest development and two born with the white dot on the head like a BR who are now showing some very off barring and have light legs/eyes/combs/beaks and tiny maybe puffy crest development. Thinking they are sex linked???

I've yet to have one go broody. I have a Marans that does that job.

all my coachins, silkies and Orphingtons are all my broody hens.. cause my polish act at times they want to sit but never do

Thanks everyone. I have a Black Star who is very broody right now. I just gave her a dozen fertilized eggs to hatch that I bought from someone near me. Hopefully she'll be a very good mommy and I can use her for my broody to hatch Polish eggs.
