I have to talk POLISH!

Pics
Triptrap, they do not lay like an Orpington or Barred Rock. But they do lay well. I have two 4 year old Polish right now who are laying almost every day. I do think they take longer breaks between cycles.

Great thanks. Also found this link which helped. https://www.backyardchickens.com/products/polish
Getting photos of them tomorrow. Think I might go for it. I hope they fit in well with our current flock.

Have been looking for a breed that have typically calm roosters. Have you found your polish roos to be calm/nice? We've had bad luck. Our kids are always in with the flock and apparently amerucana roosters do not like little people. A polish roo would be great... if he would just leave the children alone.

Thank you! They are hers, since she wanted to get started in showing...Shes been wanting more polish since she lost one of her pet quality birds to a dog, so I had the chance to get a SQ/BQ trio and couldn't pass them up, have been planning their surprise arrival for a month and a half...

This one's name is Sugar. the smaller girl she hasn't decided on a name yet. I will suggest CremePuff! :)

Mine lay superbly. My 3 year old girls lay nearly every day, my pullets lay every day. Which is pretty good to say, considering some of my other production/hatchery type hens (Brahma, New Hampshire, etc) will either lay about 3 times a week at 3 years old or go under egg complications. Also, them not being broody is nice, however their molting is the longest lasting of any breed I've had.

Have a dozen (plus) eggs (bantam) from WC choc cuckoo roo over 2 WC choc. cuckoo girls (frizzle) and 2 WC black girls (1 smooth and 1 frizzle) if anyone is interested...i have to slow way down on hatching...my girls have been laying great...i am sitting on an easy 100 under 4 months (silkies and polish)...not liking the new auctions so i figured I'd ask here before i feed them to the flock

I am very interested in the Polish eggs. How much are they?

The 2 Polish roos that I've had so far had grown up to be excellent roos. And I could pick either one up for a smooch and they didn't mind. I am currently waiting to grow another Polish roo. I have a JG roo and a BO roo right now, and they will eat out of my grandkid's hands. But I am partial to the Polish.
