Okay so marty said to post it here
my 6 week old polish has like swollen skin
Your Polish IS NOT picked on, all feathers are intact He lives with peckers (who still each others feathers). His sks itself, and perhaps the underlying tissue, is swollen? He/she IS eating and drinking normally? YES! all the other polish are picked on and they feathers arent intact, we seprated them to stop pecking which has stopped, bit he has never been picked on. Yes i see him drinking and hes active, but I dont see him eat much but it could be i dont pay much attention to him
When you press, its very squishy.
-is it bruised, turning purple/pick/or red?
No, it is pink like normal skin
-Is it water filled? When you press, it squishes in, but when you pull your finger off, does the area stay white for a few seconds, or does it turn immediatly pink? This questioin is important. I dont know, i cant see his skin with out pulling out feathers, but i tried and it just stayed pressed in
-Can he keep his balance perfectly, even if you pick him up and put him/her on a roost?
Yes, s/he is the main rooster
-Is S/He moving slowly? Seem at all disturbed? Hanging out alone?
No, she doesnt hang out with others but shes not like hiding in a corner, she usually roosts or sits in the middle of the cage
-(gross) are there signs around the beak of vomit? Fecal matter hanging on bum?
No
Marty asked this to me, when i press the polish's breast i cant feel her breast bone unless I press really hard
any ideas? I can post what she eats and protien and stuff levels
