I have to talk POLISH!

The same wc blue is crowing everyday, usually after I start talking to the chickens in the coop. I've heard of hens crowing but have no experience with it. This may sound a bit crazy, but I might just spend $20 and try the avian DNA sex testing. :)

Tina, I wouldn't spend the 20.00. That head looks very pullet, but she was only 7-8 weeks old in the last pics and the streamers might just take a bit longer. Her/his father and mother both have very round heads. Considering that the mother does not have wattles, the wattles on the chick suggest male. As does the video of it crowing LOL. Also, the chick has alot of dark blue on it which suprised me since it's sibling and mother are more of a light blue with lacing around the neck. So with that said, I'm thinking that maybe the dark blue is an indicater of the dark blue hackle and saddle feathers to be developed in the next month or 2.
I'd suggest waiting until he/she is 12 - 16 weeks. By then the saddle/hackle feathers will be forming if it is a male.

It's a boy. If it's that young and the wattles are that big and red, it's a boy. Better quality polish take longer for the boys to look like boys. I have a little guy a little over 2 months old in the grow out pen who has a perfectly round crest, but red wattles and is crowing too, it's a boy. I'll take a picture and post it in a bit

It looks like a hen to me also? But if they are the same it looks as the mom and dad then maybe boy? Whatever it is it is beautiful chicken. You should still keep it if it is a boy. They do stay friendly and nice.

Thanks everyone for your input, I really appreciate your thoughts. And...NoseyChicken, it would be very nice to see a picture of your 8 week old. Thank you for offering to post a photo. Tina
