I have to talk POLISH!

the buff laced pullet came with the white crested black polish rooster, the buff laced polish roster came from a distant source on a different ad on craigslist. so i can not wait to see what their babies will look like because already she follows him around. the black crested white polish i see him as a creepy guy following the wcb polish hens around. i think they are happier

ok a bit upset at one of the ladies at the fair, she wouldn't put my 7-8 month old bantam silver laced polish in the bantam class cause she thinks it's a standard cause it's the same size as her cockerel :/ not to mention when i said well the store got about 20 in the wrong bin then she proceed to get into my face (lucky i didn't push her on the ground she was that close) telling me that it happens some times...well lady i think i know this already and a lot more....she didn't know a few other things either like that leghorns belong in the Mediterranean classification :/ they also didn't have enough cages and wanted to stuff my polish in a cage that is ment for something the size of a serma, jap, ect not even my d'uccle's could fit into the cage they wanted to leave her in ooooh i;m so mad (in better terms) at how they want to treat the chickens

anyways i will try to get some pics of her when shes home from the fair for size comparison by yall

to be sure she is a bantam, if she isnt she has to bye bye as i only do bantams. would yall say a bantam polish is slightly bigger than a d'uccle?

Polish Bantam pullet-24 oz: d'Uccle pullet-20 oz. Japanese Bantam pullets are the same weight as d'Uccle pullets soa cage that is right for a Japanese Bantam should also be right for a d'Uccle Bantam. If your birds are too big for a bantam cage they're too big.

Weigh your bird that is the only way to know for sure. I had my polish get a note for size at the fair. I weighed him and he is 6 oz overweight, so I need to do a little breeding down on weight. The best way to help the fair is keep on going and educating. Have fun with your birds.

Just a few pics of my Buff Polish..and one has the back side of my BCW..too much dark spots on the body for that white..but it will look pretty cute.

Her feathers are sticky, because my husband decided that the polish and Silkies needed
some watermelon too, when he took some out to the chickens. :) So, here is sticky face.

I have a silly question for u polish gurus: if i breed a silver laced popish to a buff laced polish roo, what would be the result?

well then, I would have to say, either really interesting colors..or, one or the other of the colors. ??

technically i wouldn't even put any of those breeds in that small cage i think the pullets and cockerels that were in that cage were only a few months old, my 3-4 month olds would fit fine in that little square, really wish i had a pic of it instead of trying to describe it would be a lot easier (there wasn't any turning room in the cage for any of those breeds). I'm gonna end up weighing her. she's barley taller than my d'uccle rooster and has been the same size since she was 3-4 months of age hasn't gotten any bigger at all, when i give her a bath shes the same size as my d'uccles. not expecting her to be right on target she was an impulse buy from a store supplied by a hatchery.

this year they were unorganized and didn't have all the breeds nor verities listed. i had to put a french black copper under mixed breeds cause they didn't have them on the list.

from what i have found a pullet should weigh around 24 ozs (1lb 8ozs) and an adult 26 ozs (1lb 10 ozs) while cockerels are 26 ozs and cocks 30 ozs while large fowl weigh: Hens weigh around 4.5 pounds, and roosters 6 pounds
