I have to talk POLISH!

Arkansas, My "Ozzie" became "Laverne".  I swore he was a roo.  She had me fooled for a long time

Those pics are tooo cute!!!!! Wolfetta sure had me fooled, I'm so excited to know its a
hen!!!! I was really bummed when we ended up with more roos than we were hoping for.
I'm keeping at least two of my roos-1 polish another a mix. I'm now on the hunt for
some silkies, frizzles, etc hens to soothe my daughter. She's bummed about having to
let go of her boys...I told her that she could have a few more hens if the roos can go.
I think the girls will be much happier, they are being over pestered by all the roos...

Aretha Chicken was the same way--I was so worried she was actually a boy because she was developing so much faster than the others... Turns out the OTHER silver-laced polish was the boy and she was, in fact, Aretha Chicken.

My new chicks are almost a month old (wed) i hope i have more girls that boys
fl.gif
but im just going to have to be patient be for i can find out lol

i am going to try to mix breed my white polish with a silver spangled hamburg rooster when my white polish grow up
I plan to cross my silkies with my SL polish roo, and then breed back to silkie again. It will be interesting to see what I get! Only as pets though, I am also going to have a pure silkie breeding project.
