Aw poo! I got rid of my pit a few days ago because she broke my RIR's wing. She wasnt being mean just played too tough. My chickens were here first lol. I couldnt risk another getting hurt. So my friend took her. I've buried 6 chicks the past week. A RIR, a golden comet, buff orpington, silver laced wyandott, golden laced wyandotte,& barred rock. Saturday my dad's friend told me to come get free babies. Hmm. I wonder what they will be?

Weenie's are prone for doing that. They were actually bred for hunting badgers. They are tough customers. I had a pair that ganged up on a pup weenie and ripped her almost in half. I've never owned them since.

mines very shy so it came as a shock when she did that. sorry about your chickens what happened to them? wish i could find some free eggs/chicks around here

now own if i let them out to free range she isnt allowed around them at all

Wel, I'm getting way more than a few. Be more than happy to share. Ill give you half of what I get but you got to find a way to get them. Lol. And idk why they died I tried figuring that out a few days ago. It was strange.

I wouldn't get any more until you find out why they died..

Could this be some type of disease the new ones could catch from the soil/coop? You will need to thoroughly disinfect everything before you think about getting more chickens.

If he owns a chicken mill, you'll want to be sure that he has NPIP certification and Marek's vaccinations. Anything you'd call a "chicken mill", though, I'd think would be a cesspool of disease. Make sure to worm those chicks too when they're old enough.
