There is one bigger chick in the pile, that one is named Duct Tape, he is a week old.... He was stuck to the tape that I used to adhere the thermometer to the egg turner....

They are piling in the brooder, but I can only get it so warm without risk of fire or cooked older chickies. I have towels over the top to keep the heat in.....(this gets it to about 90 or so from 85)

I thought about a heating pad. Unfortunately the one we have here is dying. It gets WAY too hot even on low (it actually burns people). I'm afraid even with it under the brooder and padding inside the brooder that it burn them.

I could try hanging the space heater (Small, new, all the safety bells and whistles) over the brooder and aiming the warm air down into the Brooder.....
