I HEAR CHICK PEEPING!!! My first hatch-EEK!

I came home from work and checked my hens. Let out the 2 hens on eggs and I heard a little peeping noise from one egg!!! I AM EXCITED!!! its my first hatching experience. How long before a chick will come out. I could see no breaks in the egg.

The more excited you are, the longer they take to pip. Seriously, whoever coined the "watched pot" phrase never heard peeping from inside an egg.

Well I was just glad I heard something-you start to wonder if they are sitting on dud eggs and just want conformation that a chick will come sometime. The due date is Wed. Been looking after these hens like I was hatching them out!
