What I'd really like someday is some toulouse eggs. OMG I am so in love.

Do you want regular toulouse? I got a ton of dewlap toulouse eggs this year, but I have only hatched two babies. It was a huge disappointment. Plus, NONE of my Sebastopol eggs....my own of shipped (and LOTS were shipped) ended up developing. It was heart breaking.

If you like the bigger ones, you'll have to remind me in the spring and I'll see if my birds are any more cooperative. Actually, one is still laying, but I do not know if they are fertile. I put them in the Humidaire and am waiting to candle a few of them. I fear that she is just shooting out blanks. LOL.

I promise.....if I get an extra gosling or if the eggs keep coming and I think they are fertile, you're first on the list!!

I just gave away 6 adults, so I don't intend to build back up to a whole yard full again. LOL. I even have gosling boxes!!

LOL, I think Nancy knows I dont mind talking about just about anything to do with chickens...ducks...geese....dogs....cripes, just about any kind of animal! Or to extend sympathies and TRY to help with psycho advice!

I dont consider it hijacking unless its someone trying to cause trouble. I DONT mean an honest debate, because I dont expect to agree with everybody, but I think you all know what I mean.
I have dealt with dog people too who thought their poop doesnt stink. Little do they know...

I have to update my gosling thread on the fourth baby after I post here.
This evening I am going to be cleaning out and switching around incubators. Ducks and geese leave behind a messier incubator than chickens,lol.
I do have three Buff Orpington eggs due the 3rd...guinea eggs due the third, two Indian runner eggs due the fourth and the 4 Chinese goose eggs due the the 6th. I dont know about the orps though, time will tell. Keeping my fingers crossed for at least some of these eggs to hatch!
I will be starting with ducks again this week if I get my eggs, I bought three musovie eggs and one cayuga egg. Also hamburg crosses and three Blue Slate turkey eggs. My turkeys didnt hatch so going to give turkeys another try! The jury is out yet how I have done on the guinea eggs. I am also possibly going to be trying out a peafowl egg or two...even though people have told me they are very sensitive...they said the same about the goose eggs...maybe if I follow directions I can do it...
Now back onto subject, I will ad to this thread when I set the muskovie eggs and cayuga egg! Nancy....I think I need to get some more Indian Runners from you.

Edited to say, BRAIN DEAD PERSON HERE!! I will update this if the two runner eggs hatch!!!!!!!

Ack! Another edit!!! To say I candled Blue Swedish and they LOOK to be a bust but going to leave them in until a couple days after due date at least. Maybe I am wrong and not understanding what i am looking at, so since I am not sure I better not toss.

Every day, I sit down with my huge desk blotter calendar and go over the status of all the eggs in each incubator and my husband confirms what goes in, what comes out and what he candled. I give him a list of what goes into the hatcher and what is due.

He had, evidently, given me a list of eggs I thought he had removed, but they were just bad, but not removed. So, I see this HUGE pile of eggs on the kitchen table....it was so much more depressing to see them all there at the same time!!!

I told him not to do that to me anymore because it was just too much at once to see all of those flops. LOL. They were mostly all shipped eggs, of course. Yuck!

I only had ONE order of eggs in the last five days. I ended up giving duck eggs to one of my relatives where was in town this weekend because she loves to bake. So, I have eggs to spare at this point. And then some.

I can supply your hatchoholic needs!

My husband needs to scrounge the trash cans at work for rolls of bubble wrap tonight. Ha ha ha.
