I heard a ‘B’wak! Squawk!’?

I know they chicks don’t really start making the normal adult chicken sounds around 2-3 months but mine are only about 6-7 weeks old and I SWEAR I heard one of them make a small ‘BWAK! SQUAWK!’ sound a couple times this evening while I was out there cleaning out the poop board and giving them some mealworm treats?

Is it possible that even at this age they will start to make the traditional chicken sounds? I don’t know which girl actually did it, I’m thinking maybe one of the leghorns.

Sometimes I've had pullets occasionally make "big girl" sounds. And I've had pullets continue cheeping until they were fully adult sized and getting ready to lay.
