I heard a disturbing suggestion from a 4H father, wondering if anyone else has heard it.

Very true. I don’t understand what the point in that is. Okay, i’m not bothering you about it. Someone told her that she ate rabbits (and rabbits was her favorite animal) she instantly started saying the person was disgusting for rubbing it in that she eats an animal she owns and how cruel she was for mentioning it, and yet, she still feels the need to tell me that my pet chickens would be delicious.

This is why I try to avoid humans as much as possible. I hate them. I love hanging out with my chickens they are my best friends

I couldn't agree more. If every human went extinct tomorrow I wouldn't care. All humans do is destroy the earth, kill and torture animals, and a bunch of other useless bs. There is also way too many humans and absolutely nothing is being done to control the population

Ah okay, i just didn’t see anyone mention that so a bit confused.

If someone did mention that, i’m pretty sure what they’re saying is some humans find a cruel way to do it unnaturally, in which i agree. They are often uneducated or simply don’t care and are doing it for money and or profit gain. Often due to mass production. Yes, chickens can be bite and peck and even do some pretty gnarly things, but i guess i find it worse when they are done a way nature didn’t intend it.

How do you define naturally? How do hawks, weasel, raccoons and many many other predators kill and eat? Alot of them eat the pray alive and some well they dont eat they just kill for fun. There are millions of ways nature kills and disposes of life in all its forms. Humans are apart of that cycle.

I dont like excessive cruelty and I do think those that propose it or participate in it should at the very least be investigated. But talk of letting a whole species go extinct can be considered just as bad. It's like a person talking of killing all snakes or spiders because they fear them. Or someone that says all snakes are bad. We are not unnatural. We are a species of the world. We are an animal of the natural cycle.

So those comments just irk me badly as I'm a student of nature first and foremost.

How do you define naturally? How do hawks, weasel, raccoons and many many other predators kill and eat? Alot of them eat the pray alive and some well they dont eat they just kill for fun. I've personally seen a dog extract a duck through a small fence hole alive. There are fungi that brain control insects and exploid them to make more of its self. There are millions of ways nature kills and disposes of life in all its forms. Humans are apart of that cycle.

I suggest you look up kills made by predators of chickens. Those are the most natural chicken kills if humans aren't involved. Humanely killed by context in these posts would be unnatural. Those post suggest the cruelty would end if humans where to be gone. With your post its humans that bring a less painful death to the animals we consume. That's much more respectable than some.

All i’m stating is i find it very rude when people rub it in my face about their lifestyle choices saying how delicious my pets would taste if they were meat, and how some people can be very cruel when handling chickens. A person i knew (not personally) threw a chicken in the road because they thought since it didn’t have feelings it deserved to die. That breaks my heart. It’s unnecessary and no animal deserves to be painfully killed. At least kill them respectfully. We have the choice to put them down, why be cruel and throw them in the road instead? Not all people are like that, but some are, and to those some i find horrible people.
