I heard a peep!!

Oh, that is exciting! I wish you all the best on your first hatch. Keep us informed of the progress..

I have 14 brahmas, 5 hedemoras, 4 black copper marans, 6 cream legbars and 2 white bresse ready to go! #18 egg is the first to peck a hole - it's a silver penciled blue brahma egg!

How have your temps been? What are you using for an incubator? I've finally gotten temps stabilized to where I'm happy with them. Had a bit of a spike in one corner to 103, but it wasn't long. Variation in temp is 99 - 100 degrees depending on location in the incubator. I'm using a home made, forced air, keeping eggs in cartons until day 14, then laying flat. Doing dry hatch, adding just a bit of water to keep around 25%. No veining yet.

Congratulations! Hope they all hatch.

I have a hovabator, genesis 1588, forced air. It keep the temps at 100 very steadily, and the humidity drops fairly quickly - so it's been around 45-55 most of the time, but slightly higher sometimes up to about 62. I was kind of worried about the humidity but the air cells seem to be the right size. This incubator was highly recommended by a friend of mine who gave me most of these eggs!
