Dust-mud with all the juice squeezed out...

Chickens-the only animal we eat before it is born and after it is dead...

It's more philosophical than disturbing to me . . . Perspective can be funny.

We also eat fish before it is born and after it's dead. But we can't eat the same creature twice. Or can we? I guess every vegetable and animal we eat existed in another form and has been eaten over and over and over. The molecules that have come together and made an organism.
