They should be okay but key right now is keep the humidity up in the 60s to 70%.

I have done what you did, (help too soon) a number of times on saddled eggs as I get hatching eggs shipped here often. Even a couple have started bleeding. I actually do nothing but put them back, leave them alone, and they hatch

I'm so glad one has hatched ok!

Don't take it out of the incubator just for this, but if the other one hasn't hatched by now and you're handling it again anyway to keep the membrane soft you could try seeing if you can see around the chick's navel area to see if there's anything yolky or umbilical looking still. (Don't remove any more shell or membrane or try to reposition the chick, just see if it's unfolded enough that you can see anything the way it is now. Using the torch on your phone or similar might help.)

Here’s a closer picture, unfortunately I can’t make out anything under its wing and head. There’s just quite a bit of dry membrane and blood. It’s been chirping as I’ve been wetting it, and just breathing shallowly when back in the incubator, but no more progress yet

Thank you, it’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one that’s done this and glad to hear yours have hatched okay after the fact, I hope this little guy will be the same!

@Debbie292d @kattabelly @SnackMeat thank you for all the advice, I’m so pleased to say that the little one is hatched and well! Baby wasn’t fully done absorbing the yolk so was very weak and unable to stand at first, I monitored him in the incubator overnight and gave him a little water this morning and he has perked up a lot since! Another also hatched in there with him overnight and they’ve kept each other company. I’m so relieved and have definitely learnt my lesson to leave well alone! Thanks again

I’m so glad to hear he and another hatched! They are so cute!

With these shipped eggs that get saddled, meaning they are not situated correctly in the egg, some hatch fine. I just mark any like that with a pencil at lockdown. I wait until the rest hatch, and if these don't pip within a few more hours, or pipped over 24 hours ago, I’ll start helping.

We learn as we go! Keep hatching and soon you’ll be a pro! It’s quite addictive though lol.
