I just bought a brand new chicken coop for under $200.00! (Progress pics added)

I got 1100 board feet of poplar from a local Amish saw mill for $200.00! I will be building a combination storage/tool shed and chicken coop.

It will be 8'X18' devided into 3- 6' wide sections. That will leave a 6'X8' walk-in coop. It will look something like this, but a little smaller than the picture:

Ok, the above shrunk a little due to not wanting to loose a nice poplar tree. To fit in the spot, I had to shrink it by 2 feet in length.
Now, it will be more like this:


I took a vacation day Friday and started framing. Today, I started siding to stiffin the frame and put up some of the rafters.

I got the 6X6's free off of Craigs list. They were the frame of an old sand box at a daycare center.





 
should have had the Amish guy put it together for another 50.00 bucks.....

looks like he builds a pretty nice shed....:)
