I just dont know........8 week old PICTURES

I just dont know what breed it its OR a cockerel or pullet

I just don't feel like he/she is an EE, not that a non muff/tuffed one can show up but he/she just acts more game bird.

if it is a Campine and great forager........cool because that's my other job for them is to roam the pasture and eat bugs.

Good point on the earlobes maybe it is an EE-- but at 8 weeks mine hardly had any white showing for the lobes-- so maybe?

I thought he/she was a Buttercup for a while but unless he/she is not as "pretty" or bright as the pictures I've seen. What about a Welsummer?

I have a 3 wk old chick that looks just like yours!!!! I have another one that looks alot like that one but his/hers nack feathers are alittle different!

I have two EE/mixes that look very similar. Slightly different shades, but very close.

Hmmmm, I just looked at Cackle hatchery's website where the farm store got the chicks from and they don't have any Campine, they do have Sicilian Buttercups.

I think its probably just a rare mutt that got mixed up............Nothing really matches it perfectly

I have no doubt, that's a Easter Egger. The slate/green legs and pea comb are pretty good indications, IMO. I'm pretty sure she's a she, as well. That pattern seems to be indicative of EE hens. I've been told that males don't come in that pattern, although I don't know that for sure. I have on that is very similar, both as a chick and as an adolescent and she was sold to me as an Amercauna although I know she's simply an EE.
