I got 3 Ameraucana's for my first ever flock last year and lost every one of them this winter before they ever laid an egg.....

...they were beautiful birds but not at all social, while I enjoyed them I don't think I would have any more. I do wish you luck with yours as I know they lay some beautiful eggs

yeah to me the top two on the right in that picture are pure green

I agree. Most have a definite green look to them. The price was right so i wont be disappointed if i get some chicks.

as long as you paid a fair price then. As mentioned, some people will call easter eggers ameraucanas because they know they can charge more for them. As long as you didn't pay a 'purebred' price and just wanted chickens that will lay blue and green eggs, you're going to be happy with those

I have a hard time paying alot of money for hatching eggs. I havent had any luck. Not sure why. These eggs were $10 per dozen. So I bought 2 doz blue/green eggs and 2 doz cream/brown eggs.

I don't get hatching eggs unless I know the breeder personally or someone I know has had good luck with that breeder.
