And sometimes, we have to tell our children no. When the first chick came home you should have explained it was against the rules and found a good home. How did you go from that to adding more, knowing it was against the rules of the HOA and the City. I believe in changing the law, but not after you broke it. You lose all credibility cause now you just want what you already have.
On another note- you signed the covenant to the HOA in order to live where you do- it is required by Federal Law. They could be telling you it is ok, until you get a new president, or a neighbor keeps complaiing. THEN you are served with a summons and sued. They don't have to tell you that is what they are going to do, they can just do it. You are violating the laws of two orginizations- both of which you agreed to. Again, I defend anyones right to have poultry and/or livestock. But do it where the law permits. If you were not happy with the laws where you chose to move, you should have moved elsewhere.
