You really have to wonder about some foks. They eat chicken. They eat beef. However, YOU'RE a chick murderer? I'd lay you even odds you could feed them a fresh fertilized egg and they wouldn't know the difference between that and a nonfertilized egg. *HUGS* I'm glad you made them think.

it`s not a chick until it`s incubated, we eat fertilized eggs no problem, some people even eat almost formed chicks, that I find nasty mainly because of the looks as I can`t say I tried it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balut_(egg)
